Hello tumblr! We are MoaCube. We come in peace to share with you the various tidbits from the life of this humble indie game developer.
Why? Because we couldn’t help but notice that a lot of our most dedicated fans are here. And boy do we like our fans.
So, what’s going to happen on this tumblr? First, of all — you tell us. It’s the first time we tumble, so we’re most open to suggestions on what you would like to see here.
We definitely plan to post screenies and videos from our games, reblog the best fanarts and fanfiction, and answer any questions you may have. Just like with our twitter and facebook, we would like it to be something more personal and fun than a simple news feed to our site.

Everyone excited for the new game?
Cinders OST includes extended versions of all the game’s tracks in high quality MP3/FLAC format, along with some cool extras (I especially love The Medley of Themes).
Rob made the download available on name your price basis. You can get it for free if you want. You can also send a few bucks his way as a token of appreciation for his work. Which I heartily recommend, as I think he did an outstanding job with this game’s soundtrack and he charged us next to nothing because we’re indie.

Moacube, the creators of the excellent Cinders, have just announced that they’re working on a new VN project. It’s called Solstice and it’s a mystery this time around. I’m really looking forward to finding out more.

Solstice is a cold mystery with no right answers. A fantasy thriller from the same team that brought you Cinders.
A city in the middle of an icy desert, cut off from the world by raging blizzards. Everyone’s gone for the winter season. Everyone except for a small group of misfits who either don’t want or can’t leave. On the last dog sled caravan, two characters enter the scene only to become entangled in a web of an old intrigue which is about to reach its completion. The city withstood many terrible storms keeping its mysteriously mild climate intact. But as the first cracks begin to appear on its proud walls, people feel the chill of the outside world invading their haven.
Solstice is a story about struggling with one’s past. The things we chose for ourselves and the things which were chosen for us. As you make progress, you begin to understand that small personal disasters can turn into great catastrophes, and a clear conscience is as rare as pure snow.
People in the North have a saying: what comes to the city, stays in the city. But what happens to all the dirty secrets if the city is no more?
Solstice is currently under development for Mac and PC. We are going to publish new screenshots, videos, and other media soon.
Why it’s going to be cool:
- Two protagonists with different goals and personalities.
- A cast of ambivalent, colorful characters. And everyone is hiding something!
- Solving the mystery is just the start. True fun lies in uncovering all the secrets.
- So you know whodunnit, but do you know why they did it?
- We aim to top Cinders’s quality with a much more dynamic presentation.
Do freaking want.
Obviously I’ve lost all track of what week’s are when it comes to Cinders updates, but you all are okay with that as long as I keep making them, right?

Also, I’d like to make sure everyone knows that nominations for Yuletide will be happening very soon. As small a fandom as we are, I think that Cinders would definitely qualify as a small fandom for the exchange. In the hours after the Masquerade Ball, Guard Captain Perrault and Cinders flee into the night and towards an uncertain future together. It’s the first night of freedom for them, and there’s little question as to how they intend to spend it… but will everything go smoothly for the besotted runaways?

Because her convo while wooing the prince is the coolest thing ever (especially if Cinders and Sophia are friends).
They did end up having a nice conversation, though. So, after Cinders turned him down, he still has to look for a wife, right? What would the prince’s idea of wooing be like, when the subject of his affection is Sophia?
2. Perrault/Cinders, Hurt/Comfort
Perrault/Cinders, hurt/comfort after he pulls a Horatio Nelson (in case you didn’t get this ending, essentially he goes off adventuring and loses all control of his right arm- his sword arm- while fending off some disagreeable fellows. He is depressed and feels useless, but Cinders goes all Florence Nightingale and helps him through this grim period, then they get married and live happily ever after etc)(hmmm imagine the snarky responses of ‘not having the use of your right arm? that’s what i’m here for” dururhruhru)
Gosh imagine how difficult it would be to put all those belts on one-handed.
I bet he came back from adventuring with his arm clumsily tied in, dried blood still stuck to him where he couldn’t reach to scour it off.
